In 2012 I became the Head Varsity Baseball coach at Bishop O'Connell High School.  I was a young, energetic guy who loved the game of baseball.  The game had given me a lot and I wanted to give back.  I simply wanted to make baseball the best part of the day for the young men in my program.  Fast forward 9 years later.  I now have 3 children of my own, which has changed the aim and direction of the program significantly.  I want it to be about way more than simply the best part of the day for everyone involved.  I want it to be a life changing experience to be a part of O'Connell Baseball.  Me and my coaching staff coach our players with a "step-parent" approach.  The pillars of our program are LOVE, GRATITUDE, JOY, and EXCELLENCE.  We will win on the diamond because we've already won in the classroom, at home, and in our communities by ALWAYS DOING IT THE RIGHT WAY and by ACTIVELY PURSUING OPPORTUNITIES TO LEAD.  Our culture is our greatest strength and will continue to get stronger. 

Pictured is our 2020 graduating class.  It featured 13 of the finest young men I've ever had the pleasure of coaching.  Of this group, 8 are playing college baseball, a testament to their dedication and hard work, and to the talent on the field this group possessed.  What will be even more exciting than what this group does in the baseball world beyond high school, is what kind of impact this group will have on the world at large.  These guys are intelligent, caring, mature leaders.  Excellence is inevitable, and I'm beyond proud to have played a part in their journey and the legacy they've created within out program.  I like to tell people that our amazing new field is a reflection of where this group has put our program.  Best of luck gentlemen!  And for those currently in the program and future O'Connell Baseball players, the bar has been set!  It's your turn to continue to elevate it!  Go Knights!
